Richard is an LCSW, Approved Clinical Social Work Supervisor and has worked with children, teens, adults and families for over 30 years in a variety of settings. His clinical training included psychodynamic and existential psychotherapy as well as a structural and strategic approach when working with families. His training sites included the Robert B. Green Hospital and the San Antonio Health Science Center’s psychiatry services. His focus on children, adolescence and families developed at the San Antonio Children’s Center, a psychiatric hospital for children and adolescence. The Center was also a training facility for the Health Science Center/Medical School where he provided clinical services and designed inpatient and outpatient behavioral health programs. He’s managed state and national managed care accounts for Medicaid and Commercial behavioral health benefits. He is in full time private practice working with all age groups, couples and families in Austin, Texas.
